Stain Concrete Floors Yourself

if you have a few hours free through the weekend, then you have plenty of time to stain concrete floors yourself. This do-it-yourself project can lead to floors you can be very proud of. When using an acid based stain you’ll be getting a floor that’s virtually maintenance free. If this is the first time you’ll be staining concrete floors yourself, then it might be a good idea to purchase an all-inclusive concrete staining kit. These kits contain nearly all that you should get started, and many even come with a step-by-step guide on how to perform whole process.

It’s not necassary to be intimidated with this particular project, even if you are employing an acid based stain. It is just a great job for both new and experienced do-it-yourselfers to dive into. The important thing to working with acid, a good low level acid as with the stain, is always to take all the proper precautions for safety. Including wearing thick shoes, long pants, long sleeves, rubber gloves, and splash guard goggles.

Make sure you read up on process beforehand, so you have an idea how it operates before you start. If you are using a kit you will not need to worry about purchasing all the various materials, but if you do not then make sure they all work together. By this I mean don’t use anything but a sealer that’s recommended by the company who makes your stain. Most of the time the company you buy your stain from will be able to offer you both of these items together.

There’s no reason for you to have ugly concrete surfaces any further. With just a few hours of effort you can have beautiful floors that individuals will mistake for expensive stone. stained_concrete-
